東京大学は、米国・北米における寄附募集活動の活性化、学生・研究者の国際交流、海外大学・法人との連携等、本学の米国・北米における全学的な海外連携活動を更に推進していくため、2015年に設立されたNPO法人東京大学ニューヨークオフィス（UTokyoNY）と連携し、活動を展開しています。 東京大学は、オフィスをより積極的に利用し、在米の卒業生や研究者等とのネットワーク形成、本学及び本学の取り組む研究活動に対する良き理解者の醸成、ひいては当該研究に対する良き支援者の形成に繋がるよう、学内に対して、UTokyoNYを始めとした米国内で開催するイベント（シンポジウム、セミナー等）を募集、開催経費の支援等を行ったうえ、「UTokyoNYイベント」としてイベントを開催しています。
