On October 28, 2025, a networking event titled “Let’s Talk Urban × AI: Business and Research at UTokyoNY” was held at the University of Tokyo New York Office.
The event was co-hosted by the Center for Spatial Information Science (CSIS) at the University of Tokyo and the Center for Urban Science + Progress (CUSP) at the New York University (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering.
From CSIS, Professor Yoshihide Sekimoto, Associate Professor Yuuki Nishiyama, and Assistant Professor (Lecturer) Takahiro Yoshida gave talks on their work, while Assistant Professor Takahiro Yabe from CUSP also presented his research. The speakers introduced the activities of both research centers as well as their individual research projects.
This was followed by discussions and networking with 20 participants, creating a valuable opportunity to connect research with society.
